Nursing - Requirements for Graduation


  • The student will demonstrate satisfactorily meeting course objectives by passing each course with a grade average of 74 or higher.

  • The student will obtain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

  • The student will obtain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher in the clinical practicum and academic portion of each semester.

  • The student will satisfactorily complete mandatory and elective clinical competency evaluations as specified by the clinical competency section of the master plan.

  • The student will satisfactorily complete challenge competency and final competency evaluations to ensure continuing clinical competency and job entry-level competency.

  • The student will demonstrate competency in CPR, venipuncture, EKG, vital signs, transfer of patients, care of patient medical equipment, and sterile and aseptic technique.

  • The student will make up time missed from the clinical area that is in access of the time allotted during the program.
